We are mostly catalan, spanish and european people living here. About 16.000 inhabitants. Some other foreigners have also bought real estate here, mainly USA ,Swiss , French and Scandinavians. They decide to stay or spend part of the year here or started business or work for international companies in Barcelona. Some have yachts in our port as well.

Many people from South America have been arriving in the past years as well. They are very welcome due to that they speak spanish, are nice, skilled and work hard.

Only few tourists do find our place. When the tourist industry started booming all over Spain in the 60s and 70s, this town decided to stay apart and maintain its original character.
